The bridge
The Coronado Bridge links the island with downtown San Diego. There is no toll to cross it. Traffic builds at commute hours, so test your route at the times you would actually travel.
The ferry
A passenger ferry runs from the Ferry Landing across the bay to downtown. Many residents use it for an evening or event downtown. Schedules and fares change, so check current information.
The Silver Strand
State Route 75 runs south along the Silver Strand to Imperial Beach and the South Bay. It is the main route for trips in that direction.

- Homes near the bridge approaches are convenient for commuters and can be louder.
- Homes on the bay side are near the ferry and parks.
- Homes in the Cays are farther from the village but closer to the Strand.
